Good businesses deserve brands that show it.

We work with businesses that have a story, a sense of place and something meaningful behind them. Some have grown up on the land. Others have found their way back to it or see an opportunity to build something from it.

Our job is to find what makes each business different and make that difference clear through strategy and design

Becks Tosswill

FOUNDER | CREATIVE DIRECTOR AND BRAND STRATEGIST

I’ve spent more than 20 years working in branding and design, and I run Farmers Daughter from our family farm in the Wairarapa.

I bring business thinking, strategy and creative design together to uncover what makes a business different-and turn it into a brand people can recognise, remember and choose.

I love finding the good things that are already there: the stories, strengths and differences that make a business worth knowing.

I help good businesses look as good as they are.

Lucy Lythgo

SENIOR DESIGNER

The name carries two stories.

The first is mine. I’m a farmer’s daughter. I grew up understanding hard work, seasons, making do and building something that lasts.

The second is my daughter, Isabella. Farmers Daughter grew alongside her, and the name came to represent something I believe in: good things take time, they need care, and what you build needs a strong foundation.

That thinking sits at the heart of Farmers Daughter.

With over 18 years' experience across print and digital design, Lucy transforms ideas into elegant, highly functional brands.

Her calm, strategic approach makes complex briefs feel beautifully simple.

What we're here for

We want good businesses shaped by the land to be recognised for what they’re actually good at-without having to shout the loudest. We want the brand to match the business behind it.

That's the kind of work we want to be part of.
